I started my last week of the program I’m following this week! I have learned and grown a lot over the past 6 weeks. I was one of those naive first time moms that assumed my body would quickly bounce back to pre-pregnancy form.
After a couple weeks in, reality struck me because that isn’t the case at all. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I was unable to workout while pregnant. I was eager to jump back into my fitness routine. However, fatigue and back pain really made me dial things back. I have eased myself back into working out by modifying when needed and while we were moving, I took a week off.
Although I felt defeated at first, I am now incredibly proud of myself for listening to my body. So here I am 6 weeks later and more than 3 months postpartum, still going strong. It’s just a good reminder that you don’t need to be perfect. You just need progress. Progress everyday will always get you a little further.
